To highlight the current word read by the synthesis seems to be difficult. Laurent will contact a developer who do that in Windows.

Moqups: Nothing done. Laurent have to to works on moqups.
VMime: there is a version pb.
The stable v0.91 is old but is present in the linux (debian, ubuntu) repos.
The last dev version: compilation is not possible.
After a contact with the authors: nothing will be done by them. But the dev version can be considered as stable. It's more work, but is the solution for us.

QtSpeech:
Works well with Linux, not tested on Win.
We can't have the position information (what word is being read) directly with these libs.
